 Pepper Steak

Pepper Steak My Way!

4 Servings

4 sirloin steaks à 170 g each

2 tbsp flour

1 tbsp Dijon mustard

1 shallot onion diced

2 dl double cream

1 dl beef broth

1 dl dry red wine

1 tbsp soy sauce

   black, rose and white pepper corns

   oil for frying

   salt

   potatoes and vegetables of your choice

In a skillet, heat the oil and brown the steaks from both sides for 2 minutes each side.

Sprinkle salt and the crushed pepper corns over the steaks in the skillet.

Remove steaks from the skillet.

Add some oil if necessary and brown the onions evenly over a medium heat.

Add the flour to the skillet and mix them well with fried onions.

Reduce the heat, add soy sauce, mustard and mix well.

Gradually, pour the beef broth and the red wine, stir well and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Add the cream and combine it well with ingredients in the skillet.

For potatoes and vegetables, here I used zucchini, red and yellow pepper and broccoli.

Transfer the steaks back to skillet and cover with the creamy sauce.

When steaks are cooked according to your test (rare, medium or well done), potatoes and vegetables are ready,

You can start arranging them on a plate neatly and according to your vision and imagination.
