Tourism Brings People Together

It is obvious that people travel in order to see new places, new faces, experience something new and learn about other cultures. 

In other words, people travel “ to get out of the ordinary”. The more people travel, the more they learn and understand about each other’s culture.

We all know that understanding or at least knowing something about others, helps us in improving life and the quality of living and communicating with others on this earth.

Unfortunately, all kinds of conflicts between people and states exist on this earth. That is how it has been and may be for the years to come. That is how it has been because people were not aware of the fact that the world is getting smaller and people have to co-exist and share what this global village has to offer. 

And that is how it will be in the future, if people, especially decision makers will continue to be ignorant.

Those conflicts bring disorder, violence and treats to security of mankind in all corners of the global village. And when unstable situations and non secure environments are created, you can say good buy to many “ normal “ activities of life that usually people like practicing in normal conditions, including traveling of course. 

Peace on earth and prosperity for all can not be reached unless the people who have the power to make decisions that touch the life of the people of all nations, will

finally start making fair and final decisions without favoring a certain group on the expenses of the other. In that way, they will leave no reason or excuse for anybody to have the intention to hurt the others.

And for those who think that by hurting the innocents, they can gain support or sympathy from others or think that their acts will solve something, let them know that the damage done by wrong actions against the innocents shall only prolong and extend the suffering of inhabitants of this earth and that violence shall solve nothing.

Natural disasters come and go and they will be a treat to mankind and to nature as they have always been. Today, people are more clever than they used to be and that is only because some of us have learned tough lessons from nature. Man can install an alert system to know about an earthquake or hurricane before it hits his area. But he would not know when and where an explosion shall take place. That is pity! Eliminating in sincere way, the real causes of violence, such as poverty, injustice and discrimination is the only way to show those who are taking a different path, that they are on the wrong track.

I look forward towards that day, when people can travel across the earth in peace and without the fear of politicians and extremists mixing the cards and tickets.

Certainly it is not the materialistic advantage of having a solid tourism industry such as employment and hard currency, but the positive result of people traveling and learning more about each other is the great achievement .
